RDAP and WHOIS
RDAP is the HTTPS and JSON-based successor to legacy WHOIS. NetOpsKit starts with the IANA DNS bootstrap registry, then queries the authoritative RDAP service published for the domain's top-level domain.
Understanding domain status
Status values describe registry lifecycle and locks. For example, clientTransferProhibited normally means the registrar has placed a transfer lock; deletion and redemption statuses describe different lifecycle stages.
Privacy and redaction
The report shows only public fields returned by the registry or registrar. It does not scrape WHOIS web pages or attempt to bypass redaction.
